Terms
SpeakersMate is a service of LocalBini AG, Poststrasse 4, 9000 St. Gallen, Switzerland. Version of 1 November 2026.
- Business clients. SpeakersMate serves companies, organisations and travel businesses. The terms below are written for business clients.
- Booking. LocalBini AG sends a proposal with date, fee and speaker bio. The speaker and the date are reserved once the payment has arrived; the confirmation follows the same day. Season plans and partner agreements are confirmed by the signed plan.
- Cancellation. Free cancellation 30 days or more before the talk, counted in the talk's local time zone. 29 days or fewer before the talk the booking is firm and the full fee is due.
- Date changes. One date change is free 30 days or more before the talk, subject to the speaker's availability. 29 days or fewer before the talk, a new date is a new booking at the full fee.
- Our promise. If your speaker falls ill, we send a stand in from the same pool or refund the fee in full. Matching takes 48 hours from your request. Your first talk with us carries a simple promise: rate it under 4 of 5 and it is free.
- Payment. The price on your confirmation is the full price, invoiced by LocalBini AG. Prices are net; VAT is added where it applies. Single talks are paid in full on receipt of the proposal, by card or bank transfer; the speaker is reserved with the payment. Season plans and partner agreements are invoiced monthly, payable within 30 days. For business clients in the EU the invoice is issued without Swiss VAT; the client accounts for VAT under the reverse-charge rule.
- Access. The client provides the speaker’s access to the venue, ship or coach and the audio setup. Venue and ship security rules apply to the speaker as to any guest.
- Content. The talk’s content belongs to the speaker. Recording is included for online talks for the client’s internal use; for other formats it is agreed before the talk.
- Introductions. Speakers are booked through LocalBini AG for 12 months after an introduction. The same clause sits in every speaker agreement and every season plan.
- Skipped ports. A port dropped from the itinerary counts as a cancellation by the client, whatever the notice: the speaker has held the date for the ship, and the full fee for that talk stays due.
- Liability. LocalBini AG is liable for the organisation of the talk; its liability is limited to the fee of the booking concerned. The content of a talk is the speaker’s own view. Liability for intent and gross negligence stays unlimited where the law says so.
- Force majeure. Where a talk is prevented by events outside both parties’ control (a port closed, a venue shut, strikes, severe weather, official orders), the booking moves to a new date free of charge; where a new date stays out of reach for either side, the fee is refunded.
- Insurance and conduct. Speakers are engaged by LocalBini AG as independent professionals under its host agreement and are covered by its liability insurance while performing the talk. The client holds the venue’s or ship’s own liability cover for guests and premises.
- Data. Request and newsletter data are handled under the LocalBini privacy policy. Newsletter subscriptions are confirmed by email before the first letter.
- Law. Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is St. Gallen, Switzerland.
